The correct ignition wire set for Indmar 6.0L Coil Near Plug (CNP) engines fitted with a catalyst exhaust system. Shielded construction and 90-degree boots are not optional on this application — they are essential for correct ignition performance, O2 sensor accuracy, and emissions compliance.

Why three specifications must all be correct:
CNP — Coil Near Plug
Individual coils positioned close to each plug connected by a short wire. Standard distributor leads will not fit — CNP requires its own specific wire design.
Shielded Construction
Electromagnetic shielding prevents ignition interference with O2 sensor signals and marine electronics. On a catalyst engine unshielded wires corrupt oxygen sensor readings — causing incorrect fuel trim, poor catalyst performance, and MEFI6 fault codes. Not optional.
90-Degree Boots
Angled plug boots allow correct wire routing in tight engine bays. Straight boots will not clear surrounding components on this application.
Signs your wires need replacing:
- Misfires persisting after new plugs are fitted
- Interference on marine electronics or GPS
- O2 sensor fault codes despite good sensor condition
- Cracking, carbon tracking, or heat damage on wire insulation
Pro tip: Replace spark plugs at the same service — new wires with worn plugs will not deliver the full benefit of the replacement.
